The Chisholm Vineyards Team
As a family owned and operated farm winery, we work as a team. Most of us have been here for quite awhile. Most of us have day jobs and find a bit of satisfaction spending time creating this beautiful place for our customers. We all enjoy the wine business and more importantly, drinking wine and sharing the Chisholm story with you.
Andrea's favorites: CV 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, the word "bittersweet", the color green, the age 39, yoga, making pottery, and the Kitchen Dwellers. Andrea wants to be an artist when she grows up and have lots of grandchildren. As a child, Andrea loved to catch fireflies, eat ice cream, take pictures, go ice skating and fishing. Andrea feels like the luckiest girl in the world to live on Adventure Farm, have a supportive husband (Charley) a loving family and wonderful co-workers at CV.
Charley's favorites: making chili, reading, posting on social media and listening to Jethro Tull's "Teacher". His least favorite things: doing laundry and driving a car. Charley would like to learn how to play the guitar and be a film director when he grows up. Charley might listen to more podcasts than anyone on earth. He loves Virginia and Virginia loves him back.
Isabelle, Moseley, Charley, Andrea, Eve, Kathryn, Coleman and Tom (great-grandchildren of Gigi and E. Morris Chisholm). This is our family. We have a lot of fun when we get together. We are stretched out across the country from Seattle to Montana to NYC to Charleston, SC to Florida.
Andrea and Gigi. Gigi was a KY girl and the matriarch of our family. She was always supportive and caring and gave us light and hope. Gigi's spirit lives on and we love to share her story with all of our visitors. Gigi loved Chardonnay, sunshine, playing tennis and visiting with family.
Jenny Oliver was a dear friend who helped start our wine business. She had the wisest soul and is terribly missed. She was wild and liberal and a former English hippie with lots of stories to tell. She could also listen and talk to anyone and make you feel better about yourself even in the roughest moments. Jenny loved Pouilly-Fuisse and CV Sparkling Brut.
Mary keeps us all on our toes. She stays extremely organized with an extra shot of coffee. Mary is a Grammy to 3, a talented Stylist and Lover of Life. Oh yeah, she's from Michigan and doesn't really like the cold.
Kayla, Mary, Lisa, Gena, Christina, Andrea, Suzanne & Anna. Suzanne's favorites: Cabernet Franc and Sparkling Brut, the staff at Chisholm Vineyards, Thanksgiving and baby giggles of her grandchild. Suzanne would like to learn to fly an airplane and travel around the world. When Suzanne was a child, she wandered and walked for miles.
Kayla & Lisa (daughter and mother team). Kayla & Lisa love traveling and going on adventures. Lisa has a talent for winning tickets to concerts. She is an avid UVA baseball and basketball fan. Both Kayla & Lisa give back to the communities with their day jobs.
Gena's favorite activities: walking, a 30 minute nap, the color blue, the smell of freshly cut grass, the month of May, sharing the CV story, Chardonnay (summer) and Farmer's Reserve (winter). She misses being carefree as a child but is a new Gigi and loves being with her grandson. Gena would like to learn to play the violin and always feels blessed to have another day.
Christina & Anna. Christina has 3 boys and sadly moved to Atlanta. We miss her and her Scottish ways! Anna has 4 boys. She teaches art and has hosted some classes at Chisholm Vineyards. Anna's favorites: Cabernet Sauvignon, being inspired by the women she works with, the word "wonky", the color chartreuse, running or hiking and coffee. Anna would like to learn glass blowing and gets mistaken for Judy Garland.
Anne's favorites: Chardonnay, meeting different people at the Tasting Room, the quote "This too shall pass", the smell of bacon and a hot pot of coffee on a Sunday morning, Anne is a mom, a nurse, and has been coming to CV since 2015. When Anne wins the lottery, she's buying a private island.
Stephanie is our newest team member! She has a lot of experience in the wine industry and is fun to work with. We look forward to warmer days and sharing wine with Stephanie!
